Rituals and Secret Mysteries of Wicca Gilberto de Lascariz's work, Rituals and Secret Mysteries of Wicca, consists of 447 pages and has a soft cover. This book from the Zéfiro publishing house measures 24cm x 17cm. The book Rituals and Secret Mysteries of Wicca is an innovation in the history of esoteric literature, as it emphasizes an exclusively esoteric and initiatory approach to Wicca, without any new age concessions or simplifications. It is not just a genuine esoteric tool for soul transformation in harmony with the gods and initiatory paradigms of Wicca, but also a book that generates true pagan gnosis. Many of the initiatory secrets present in Wiccan ceremonies, which were previously buried in the secrecy of some Initiates and forgotten by covens themselves, are revealed here. This work is also an attempt to provoke a tour de force in global Wiccan discourse, rejecting new age references and the wild psychologism inherited from Gerald Gardner's magical legacy. He graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon while also studying Sanskrit Language and Culture at the New University of Lisbon. In his youth, he was involved in various esoteric societies with Rosicrucian and Masonic affiliations, taking vows in the Nyngma-Pa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. His involvement with Traditional Wicca in the Alexandrian tradition from 1982, combined with his interest in Anthroposophy, led him to develop meditative and ritual methods that allowed for an esoteric approach to initiatory and neopagan witchcraft, in opposition to its new age superficiality. In 1989, he founded the Alexandrian Wiccan Conventicle TerraSerpente in Portugal and launched the Sol-Negro Confraternity, an artistic organization dedicated to the aesthetic renewal of the arts from a neopagan esoteric perspective, in its Evolian interpretation. His lectures at the Hell Conferences held in Porto during the 1980s and 1990s alerted him to the need to document his esoteric and neopagan thought in book form. He has published several books and created the Karnayna Project in 1999, an organization aimed at providing esoteric instruction from a neopagan perspective. He was the first author to conduct Wicca workshops in Portugal, similar to those conducted by Janet Farrar and Vivianne Crowley today. In 2006, the French Gothic culture magazine Elegy Ibérica considered him the most important figure in Portuguese neopagan esoteric thought.
