The tarot – mucha (Tarot Alfons Mucha) pays homage to the Czech Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha. The 78 cards in this deck interpret classic tarot scenes in the ornate and elegant style characteristic of Art Nouveau. More than an aesthetic reinvention of the characters, the tarot – mucha transforms its visual appeal into a method of reading where the charm and grace of all the graphics give new meaning to the entire visual and interpretive journey.

This tarot, published by Lo Scarabeo, was specially designed and produced as a luxury edition with contributions from Lunea Weatherstone, Massimiliano Filadoro, Giulia F. Massaglia, Pietro Alligo, and Barbara Nosenzo.

The tarot – mucha includes a deck of 78 cards, an instruction booklet in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, and German, and an illustrated box/case.

The cards measure 6.60 cm in width by 12.00 cm in length.

About Alfons Maria Mucha

Alfons Maria Mucha was born in 1860 in Moravia (now the Czech Republic) and was a painter, architect, decorator, and illustrator, known as one of the leading figures of the Art Nouveau movement. This artist lived in Vienna, Paris, and the United States before passing away in Prague in 1939. His inventive style, rich in colors, is very characteristic of Art Nouveau, featuring many ornamental elements, arabesques, and inspirations from trees, flowers, insects, and animals.
