About Saint Pancras

Saint Pancras was born around the year 290 in Rome, into a noble family, and died in 304 at the age of about 14. His name in Greek means \"he who holds everything.\" Orphaned at birth by his mother and at eight years old by his father, he was entrusted to his uncle and moved to Rome. Both were full Roman citizens. After converting to Christianity, young Pancras demonstrated his faith by refusing to worship Roman gods and rejecting the promises and offers of wealth from the Emperor. The Emperor's fury was immense. He became a martyr when he was beheaded on the Via Aurelia for his faith during Diocletian's persecutions. This saint is venerated as the patron of children, work, and health. The ancient tradition of venerating Saint Pancras has become so significant that he is particularly revered as the protector of businesses and commerce. Faith in this saint is widespread worldwide to resolve all kinds of business problems and to protect commercial establishments.
