About Saint Augustine: He was one of the most important theologians and philosophers of early Christianity. As a bishop of Hippo, a notable Doctor of the Church, and a Church Father, he emphasized several dogmas in his writings, such as Christ's grace for human freedom, reformulating the doctrine of Original Sin, or the Just War, where the pursuit of peace may include fighting to preserve it for the future. In the face of the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, this Doctor of the Church presented the Catholic Church as the \"spiritual\" City of God, distancing from earthly and material concepts.
